Project Overview
Ostra House turns a former warehouse into a twenty-four room guesthouse with a bar, a dining room, and a planted courtyard.
The interiors are dark, warm, and tactile, designed to feel better in the evening than at midday.

The Idea
Atmosphere before decoration.
Public rooms are arranged in a loop around the courtyard, so guests always know where they are.
Lighting is low and layered, with every source placed to wash a surface rather than light a room.
Slatted oak, dark plaster, and bronze were chosen for touch as much as for appearance.

The Process
From drawing to reality.
Rooms were prototyped at full scale before construction, so the final detailing was tested long before it reached site.
